Sam Ward, Compass Airlines

It was a beautiful start like many other days, Nobody would have thought it would end in a deep
dark haze.

Many were missing, Many were killed, As for Al Qaeda, they were thrilled.

It’s hard to believe that someone’s loss is another’s gain. As for all Americans, we felt nothing but pain. Whether in a car, or in a bus, Phone lines were tied, we were all in a fuss. Is my husband all right, is my wife okay, These were all simple questions we had that day.

Why were the twin towers, quickly turned to rubble, Aircraft incident, after aircraft incident, we
knew we were in trouble. Some farmland in western Pennsylvania, turned into a crater hole, Passengers aboard refused to be taken over and yelled, “Let’s Roll.” A building so highly guarded, for America’s defense, When a plane slammed into its west side, nobody
could make sense. Many souls were lost on that September day,

Americans stood together and knew those responsible would pay.

A day full of tragedy for the history books, All because of some radical terrorist crooks. May we never forget the 2,977 who perished,

Your bravery, sacrifice, and memory will always be cherished.
